LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team rallied from down double digits in the fourth quarter to force overtime and score a non-conference win over visiting Lake Forest College.

Benedictine 77, Lake Forest 75
• The contest was a game of runs
• The first quarter of play saw eight ties and two lead changes as neither team led by more than two points
• Trailing 20-18 early in the second quarter,
Venita Parsons drained a three-pointer and
D'Asia Williams made a jumper to turn it into a 23-20 lead
• Benedictine led by six on a jumper from Parsons with 3:56 left in the half, but held a 32-31 halftime lead
• The second half opened with Benedictine scoring the first eight points to take a 40-31 lead
• Lake Forest countered with a 16-0 run to lead 47-40 with 2:19 left in the third
• A 10-1 from the end of the third to the early part of the fourth saw the visitors lead 57-47 with 6:49 remaining in the game
• Benedictine quickly scored seven straight to battle within three points at 59-56, five of the points came from Parsons
• Still down by seven, Benedictine struck with an 8-0 run to open a 64-63 advantage with just over a minute remaining
• Allison Michalski sliced the lead to 63-62 following a defensive stop and
Madisyn Fischer went coast-to-coast following a steal to put Benedictine ahead
• Lake Forest made four straight free throws to open a 67-64 edge
• With time running out following an offensive rebound and a timeout,
Jenna Endres splashed home a three just before the buzzer to send the game to overtime
• Both teams connected on three-pointers to start overtime
• Georgia Alexakos made a layup to put Benedictine ahead for good
• Benedictine went on to lead by as many as five in the extra session
• The game featured 13 ties and eight lead changes and marked the second straight win for Benedictine
• Benedictine shot 60 percent in overtime and finished the game at32.2 percent
• Benedictine knocked down eight three-pointers in the game with seven coming in the second half and overtime
• Parsons led the way with 24 points
• Williams added 15 with Michalski notching 10
• Alexakos finished with 16 rebounds and three steals
• Lake Forest held a 59-58 edge on the glass

Benedictine (2-1) travels to North Central on Wendesday night
