LISLE, IL - Despite mounting a furious comeback, the Benedictine University men's lacrosse team fell in a tight game with Beloit at home on Wednesday night.

• Playing for the first time in a week, Benedictine struck for two quick goals in the opening minute of action
• Corbin Gett fired home a feed from
David Blanco to open the scoring on the first venture up the field
• Kyle Wagner struck unassisted just moments later after winning the faceoff and racing in to score
• Beloit scored for the first time near the midpoint of the first before Gett finished the first quarter action with a goal, punching in a pass from
Randy Patrick
• Beloit owned the second quarter, scoring six times and shutting out Benedictine defensively to take an 8-4 lead into the half
• Gett netted the first two tallied of the third to quickly counter the momentum, receiving help from
Trevor Manzke and Wagner
• Two more goals from Beloit made the score 10-6 before Blanco connected with Gett near the end of the third, making the score 10-7
• Gett and Patrick tacked on two more goals in the fourth, bringing Benedictine within 10-9
• Benedictine had the ball in the final minute but could not strike dropping the conference contest

• Gett scored seven times on 10 shots as Benedictine struggled to put shots on cage
