LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's lacrosse team finished off a weekend conference sweep by matching a season high offensive output in winning a fourth straight.

THE DETAILS
• The tempo of the contest was slow from the outset, but Benedictine built a 4-0 lead midway through the first
• Becca Gullett opened the scoring at the 27:31 mark and provided an assist less than two minutes later on a goal from
Sam Tikalsky to push the lead to 2-0
• Jasmine Moreno provided the final strike of the first half with just over a minute remaining as Benedictine held a 6-1 lead at the break
• The pace of the game was much different in the second half with the teams combining for 19 goals
• Lexie Orr scored the first two goals of the half and
Madison Horan followed as part of a three-goal spurt that stretched the advantage to 9-2 with just over 20 minutes left
• Following consecutive Monmouth tallies, Moreno ripped off the first of four consecutive goals, capped by a pair from Gullett that made the lead 13-4 with 13:36 remaining
• Monmouth was twice able to pull within seven goals in the second half, but Benedictine held on for the decision, a fourth straight win
• Benedictine scored 18 goals in Saturday's win over Cornell as well
STAT LEADERS
• Benedictine held a 42-36 advantage in shots and a slim 27-26 margin in groundballs
• Monmouth tallied 18 draw controls
• Horan found the back of the net six times, adding five groundballs
• Gullett scored four times, giving her 11 for the weekend, and added five groundballs, three draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers
• Orr scored thee times
• Hannah Smith recorded 18 saves in goal
