AUBURNDALE, FL - The Benedictine University baseball team completed the first run through the spring break trip with a shutout loss at the hands of the University of St. Thomas.

• Benedictine may not have scored, but it wasn't for lack of opportunities
• Benedictine left 13 on the base paths
• St. Thomas scored a run in the top of the second but Benedictine stranded runners at second and third in the bottom of the frame after
Tanner Kiser doubled with one out
• Playing as the visiting team, St. Thomas extended the lead to 6-0 with two in the third and three in the fifth
• Kiser doubled again in the fourth, but Benedictine left the bases loaded
• Nick Severino led off the fifth with a double but was left at third
• Benedictine stranded runners in seven of the innings in the game

• Ryan Miller started on the hill and took the loss, working 4.1 innings and allowing just two earned runs with three strikeouts
