CAZENOVIA, NY - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team completed a spring break trip to New York by coming up just short in a rally at Cazenovia College to drop a fifth consecutive contest.

• Cazenovia came out strong, scoring the first four goals of the game
• Nick Wood put Benedictine on the board by scoring with 4:23 left in the first thanks to the help of

Corbin Gett scored twice in the final half of the second to bring Benedictine within 8-4 at the half
• Blanco scored back-to-back tallies at the start of the third as Benedictine pulled within 8-6

• The hosts tallied the first two goals of the final 15 minutes to gain some distance

Trevor Manzke scored to pull Benedictine within 11-10 at the 7:40 mark, but Cazenovia scored an insurance tally and held off four attempts from Benedictine to win
• The contest marked the second of five in a row on the road for Benedictine

• Cazenovia held a 37-32 edge in shots including a 12-3 margin in the first quarter
• Benedictine outshot the hosts 20-14 in the second half
• Kyle Wagner won five faceoffs and led the teams with nine shots
• Gett scored four times with Blanco tallying two along with a pair of assists
• Wood also scored twice
