THE DETAILS
• Trailing 1-0 entering the second inning,
Erik Callaghan connected on his third homer of the year leading off the inning to tie the game
• D.J. Dillon hit his second homer of the season leading off the third to give Benedictine the lead, the first of four runs in the frame
• Jack Feeley doubled and with one away
Chayancze Stirbis homered to extend the advantage to 3-1
• Andrew Hotze followed with a solo homer to complete back-to-back jacks
• All five runs in the opener, which was just seven innings in length, scored on homers
• Joe Palasiewicz threw four innings in a mid-week start to earn the win
• Marty Maves picked up his third save of the year by working the final inning
• Frank Meisl received the start in the second game
• Benedictine led 2-1 with single runs in the second and third
• Callaghan led off the second with a walk, stole second and scored on a wild pitch
• Tanner Kiser recorded an RBI single in the third
• St. Norbert scored four runs in the fifth to take the lead
• Kiser homered in the sixth, but Benedictine left the tying runs on base

• Benedictine finished with nine hits in the opener
• Feeley, Hotze and Callaghan all tallied a pair
• Meisl took the loss, allowing four runs in 4.1 innings
