LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team sent seven seniors out on a winning note, closing the season with a victory over visiting Monmouth College.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine set the tone in the opening quarter, holding the visitors without a shot
• Corbin Gett handed Benedictine a 1-0 lead with a goal on a feed from Randy Patrick less than three minutes into the game
• Gett padded the lead with his 58th goal of the year thanks to Kyle Wagner with 6:11 remaining in the first
• Benedictine held a 3-0 lead at the end of one quarter
• Trevor Manzke and Mike Cislak scored to open the second, stretching the margin to 5-0
• Benedictine led 7-2 at halftime and Monmouth never pulled closer than four goals the rest of the way

STAT LEADERS
• Nearly all available players on the roster appeared in the contest
• Benedictine held a 45-18 edge in shots and a 44-39 margin in groundballs
• Three goals came in man-up situations for Benedictine in four opportunities
• Gett scored three times to cap a record setting season with 59 goals
• The junior also added four groundballs with an assist
• Cislak struck for three tallies as well
• Kody Sutton caused five turnovers and led the team with five groundballs
• Senior Jeremy Voyda played the entire second half in net, making four saves
• The other seniors honored before the game were Wagner, Manzke, Jimmy Lopez, Neill Thoreson and Danny Salceda

FINAL RECORD
Benedictine closed the season with a 6-11 record, posting a 4-4 mark in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference for a sixth straight year with at least a .500 mark in conference.
