LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team sent seven seniors out on a winning note, closing the season with a victory over visiting Monmouth College.

• Benedictine set the tone in the opening quarter, holding the visitors without a shot
• Corbin Gett handed Benedictine a 1-0 lead with a goal on a feed from
Randy Patrick less than three minutes into the game
• Gett padded the lead with his 58th goal of the year thanks to
Kyle Wagner with 6:11 remaining in the first
• Benedictine held a 3-0 lead at the end of one quarter
• Trevor Manzke and
Mike Cislak scored to open the second, stretching the margin to 5-0
• Benedictine led 7-2 at halftime and Monmouth never pulled closer than four goals the rest of the way

Benedictine closed the season with a 6-11 record, posting a 4-4 mark in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference for a sixth straight year with at least a .500 mark in conference.
