The Benedictine University men's volleyball team ended the 2017 season with a loss at #4 Carthage College on Saturday afternoon.

THE FINAL
Benedictine 0, #4 Carthage 3 (22-25, 14-25, 15-25)

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine battled to the end in the first set
• After a back and forth start, the Eagles tied it at 18
• Carthage would go on a 5-0 run to take the lead
• Trailing 24-19, BenU would tally three straight points but the Carthage offense was too much as they would go on to win 25-22
• Carthage used 14 kills and a .611 hitting percentage to take the second set 25-14
• Despite being tied at 12, Carthage would go on an 8-0 run and BenU could only muster seven kills in the set
• Carthage collected six aces in the second set
• The third set saw the Redmen take an early lead and trail the rest of the set for the 25-15 win
