LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team saw a four-match win streak end with a 3-1 loss to North Central College at home.

• Both teams traded chances early
• One minute after Nick Kapetanos was stopped, North Central countered to strike first in the 18th minute
• The single goal held through an even opening 45 minutes
• North Central stretched the lead to 2-0 in the 49th minute after creating opportunities early in the second
• Benedictine got on the board in the 82nd minute when Yair Ortega poked home a feed from Santiago Beltran
• Less than two minutes later, North Central tacked on an insurance goal
• Benedictine had three shots in the final seven minutes but could not score


• North Central held a slim 17-16 advantage in shots
• Benedictine produced 10 corner kicks
• Antonio Marti Polo recorded seven saves in goal
• Kapetanos finished with four shots
