LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team wasted no time in opening conference play with a convincing shutout of Concordia Chicago.

• Benedictine scored off the opening kickoff when
Nick Kapetanos sprinted in to beat the keeper for his third goal of the season
• Benedictine controlled possession through much of the opening 45 minutes
• Kapetanos struck again just over six minutes later, chesting down a pass from Delgado and driving into the back of the net
• Kapetanos capped the first half scoring in the 39th minute, directing an attempt from
Aldreiron Smith into the goal
• Benedictine held a 19-1 edge in first half shots, constantly staying on the attack
• Erik Stammer notched the final goal in the 67th minute, one-touching a redirect of a cross
• The four goals matched the most in a game this season for Benedictine
• For the afternoon, Benedictine held a 29-6 edge in shots
• Kapetanos was involved in al four goals with three markers and an assist
• Antonio Marti Polo made three saves in completing his fourth shutout of the year
• Lukasz Sulka and
Santiago Beltran posted six shots apiece
