LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's soccer team scored their second shutout win in conference play by topping Edgewood College at home.

• Stephanie Nichols was denied early in the sixth minute
• Danielle Melotte opened the scoring in the 39th minute by driving home a deflection from
Katy Fredericksen
• Both teams posted four shots in the first half
• Edgewood saw a pair of late chances but could not even the game
• Benedictine came out quickly in the second half, taking advantage of a free kick
• Nichols scored in the 50th minute following the free attempt from
Taylor Pokorny
• Edgewood managed just two shots in the second half against a tight defense
• Benedictine held an 11-6 advantage in shots
• Nichols, Melotte and
Holly Ward all posted two shots
• Cassidy Henson halted three shots in goal to tally her second shutout

Benedictine (2-9, 2-1 NACC) travels to the conference leader, Dominican University, on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
