• MSOE led for most of the first half
• Zach Gorney connected on a three-pointer to put Benedictine ahead 8-7 with 16:38 left in the opening half
• MSOE responded with five straight points to take the lead and used a 11-2 run to open an 18-10 lead just before the halfway point
• Benedictine came back to tie the game at halftime on another triple from Gorney
• The start of the second half remained close

• MSOE came back and clamped down, using a 12-0 to turn a 72-69 deficit into an 81-72 lead, largest of the game from either side
• Brayden Olson brought Benedictine within six points in the final minute, but MSOE made free throws to take over first place in the conference
• The contest featured eight ties and 13 lead changes
• Benedictine shot 40 percent from the field in the game
• Both teams grabbed 40 rebounds
• Four players scored in double figures for Benedictine led by 26 from
Brayden Olson
• Gorney and Grygo each finished with 13 points while Soderholm notched 11
