LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 defeat in double overtime in an even affair with one of the top programs in the NACC.

THE DETAILS
• Most of the game was contested in the midfield
• Benedictine held a 6-3 advantage in shots in the opening 45 minutes
• Sabie Ramirez posted the first chance for Benedictine in the fourth minute, putting a shot on goal
• Kayleigh Sommer added an opportunity in the 11th minute
• Both teams played solid on the back line
• Benedictine put together a flurry at the end of regulation with four shots in the final two minutes including an attempt from
Eve Meintz on goal
• MSOE came out and put on pressure in the opening of the first overtime
• The visitors notched three shots and saw two corner kicks in the first extra 10 minutes
• The only goal came near the midpoint of the second overtime
• A long lob to an open player breaking away resulted in the tally with
Cassidy Henson coming out to challenge
• Both teams finished with 13 shots with Benedictine putting five on goal
