Volleyball Ends Season at Eagle Classic

The Benedictine University women's volleyball team ended the 2018 season at the annual Eagle Classic. The Eagles dropped a four-set match against Elmhurst College before falling to Wheaton College.

THE DETAILS
• The Benedictine offense was on fire in set one, taking a 19-10 lead
• Molly Stock totaled six kills in the 25-18 win
• Elmhurst caught fire in set two, taking a 17-10 lead
• The Eagles rallied late, coming within four, but it was too late as they fell 25-17
• In set three, Elmhurst tallied 13 kills and four aces in the 25-10 win
• The Bluejays offense could not be stopped, collecting 14 more kills in the final set for a 25-18 win

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine got out to a 5-1 lead before Wheaton rallied, going on a 5-0 run
• Tied at 18, it was the Wheaton offense that came alive to go on to win 25-21
• In set two, the Eagles only hit .079 while the Thunder hit .270 in the 25-17 win
• An Alyssa O'Boyle 4-0 run tied the third set at 12
• Two aces and six straight from Wheaton put the Thunder ahead and they never looked back for the 25-16 victory
