MADISON, WI - The Benedictine University men's basketball team dropped their final regular season game of the season at Edgewood College, landing them as the #2 seed headed into the conference tournament.

• The contest was a back and fourth battle early as Benedictine rallied to an early lead 
• A lay-up from Jaquan Phipps gives the Eagles their biggest lead of the ballgame 30-21 with 5:37 left in the first half 
• Edgewood battled back and tied the game with 2:47 left in the first half
• Edgewood took the lead for the first time with 2:17 left to go in the first half and did not trail again
• Behind a 17 point run to end the first half of action, Edgewood went into the locker room with an eight-point lead

With the loss, Benedictine finished the regular season 15-5 in conference play, earning the second seed and a bye in the conference tournament. Benedictine will play the highest remaining seed in the first semifinal on Friday at 5:00 p.m. at Aurora.
