MADISON, WI- The Benedictine University women's basketball team defeated Edgewood College in their final regular season NACC match of the season. The Eagles will be the #3 seed in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament, which begins on Wednesday.

• Benedictine went up 8-4 in the early goings of the game and never trailed for the entirety of the ballgame
• Madisyn Fischer made a jump shot with just under 5 minutes left in the first quarter and swung momentum for Benedictine 
• After a mirage of substitutions from Benedictine, the Eagles held onto a six point lead going into the second quarter behind an Alena Moro bucket
• Benedictine came out strong behind baskets from Allison Michalski and a pair of free throws from D'Asia Williams to give the Eagles a 23-18 lead
•  Edgewood fought back to within four points with six minutes left to go in the third quarter
•  Benedictine battled the Edgewood push and would go into the half up seven points, 35-28
• The Eagles' lead would rise to 18 points in the third quarter coming from strong offensive rebounding from Venita Parsons 
• Benedictine would go up by a commanding 20 point lead midway through the fourth quarter from a Moro jumpshot 
• Benedictine held a dominant advantage through the rest of the game and would go on to victory

• Benedictine was lead by Allison Michalski who put up 19 points to go along with four rebounds 
• Julie Jurasits also helped the effort tallying a season best 11 points for Benedictine
• Benedictine had 15 second chance points in the ballgame and 42 points in the paint

Benedictine wrapped up the regular season with a 17-8 overall record and a 14-6 conference mark and will host Aurora University in the NACC tournament quarterfinals at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday in Lisle.
