MADISON, WI- The Benedictine University women's basketball team defeated Edgewood College in their final regular season NACC match of the season. The Eagles will be the #3 seed in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament, which begins on Wednesday.

Benedictine 70, Edgewood 54

• Benedictine went up 8-4 in the early goings of the game and never trailed for the entirety of the ballgame

• Edgewood fought back to within four points with six minutes left to go in the third quarter
• Benedictine battled the Edgewood push and would go into the half up seven points, 35-28
• The Eagles' lead would rise to 18 points in the third quarter coming from strong offensive rebounding from Venita ParsonsÂ
• Benedictine would go up by a commanding 20 point lead midway through the fourth quarter from a Moro jumpshotÂ
• Benedictine held a dominant advantage through the rest of the game and would go on to victory

Benedictine wrapped up the regular season with a 17-8 overall record and a 14-6 conference mark and will host Aurora University in the NACC tournament quarterfinals at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday in Lisle.
