KALAMAZOO, MI - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team received contributions from up and down the roster in winning a second straight.

Benedictine 18, Kalamazoo 6
• Benedictine scored the first three goals of the game, including a pair in the opening minute
• Corbin Gett scooped up a groundball on the opening faceoff win by
Mateo Salceda and marched down to score just 11 seconds into the game
• Following another faceoff win,

• Gett's second goal of the contest pushed the lead to 3-0 with 11:27 remaining in the first
• Benedictine put 14 shots on goal in the first quarter and led 5-1
• Three goals to open the second quarter were part of a five-goal surge as Benedictine opened an 8-1 edge
• Randy Patrick scored two of the goals
• Following a goal from Kalamazoo,
Tyler Feiertag scored with 10:15 left in the second to begin a stretch of seven consecutive goals that enabled Benedictine to lead 15-2 early in the third
• Benedictine did not score in the fourth quarter, but did not need to in putting together the top performance of the young campaign
• Benedictine put 37 shots on cage and held a 47-19 edge in shots
• Benedictine also won 18 faceoffs and collected 31 groundballs
• Nine different players scored goals in the win while 11 posted points
• Gett and Leahy each scored four times with Gett notching two assists
• Patrick and
Thomas Tillett tallied two goals each with Tillett tacking on a pair of assists
• Sam Sanko played the first half in goal and made four saves while
Jack Collins and Matthew Zahn each played a quarter in the second half
• Salceda won 16 faceoffs and collected 11 groundballs

Benedictine (2-1) is back at home on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. against Elmhurst College.
