Men's Volleyball Wins Sixth Straight

The #7 Benedictine University men's volleyball team won their sixth straight with a 3-1 win over Milwaukee School of Engineering on Thursday night on the road.

• This is the second time in three weeks that the two teams have faced; the last time out, MSOE defeated the Eagles in five sets in the Rice Center
• On a mission to change the outcome of their last meeting, Benedictine trailed early but quickly tied it at 11 on an Adriel Rivas ace
• An Elijah Medlock kill gave BenU the lead and they never looked back, winning the first set 25-17
• The Eagles could only muster nine kills in the second set while MSOE tallied 12 kills for the 25-20 win
• In set three, BenU took a 6-0 lead off the serve of Kyle VanStedum
• The Raiders rallied back to come within one but three straight kills from the BenU offense pushed them to a 25-20 victory
• In the fourth set, Benedictine saw themselves trail early but managed to tie it up at eight
• The Eagles had their highest attack percentage of the match with .333 on their way to the 26-24 win
• As a team, BenU tallied 43 kills, hit .154, had 58 digs and 10 blocks
• MSOE recorded 45 kills, .121 attack percentage, 50 digs and seven blocks
