PAXTON, MA - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team got back in the win column by opening a spring break trip to the Boston area with a tight victory

• Daniel Lawler caused a turnover to help setup the first goal of the game
• Corbin Gett was denied, but
Randy Patrick struck for the first tally with 11:31 left in the opening quarter
• Anna Maria tied the game midway through the quarter before Benedictine used a four-goal spurt to gain control
• Gett set up Patrick for his second goal of the game, giving Benedictine the lead for good with 4:49 remaining in the first
• Benedictine took control in the second, peppering 19 shots
• Nick Wood found the back of the net twice in the quarter and Benedictine led 5-2 at halftime
• Gett scored twice in the third quarter as Benedictine opened a 7-2 lead
• The hosts scored four goals in the fourth quarter including the final two to make things interesting
• The win broke a three-game slide for Benedictine
• Benedictine amassed 45 shots, 36 of which were on goal
• Benedictine also held a 41-26 edge in groundballs and won 14 faceoffs
• Gett finished with three goals and two assists with four groundballs while notching eight shots
• Wood struck three times as well and added an assist
• Mateo Salceda won 12 faceoffs and finished with seven groundballs
• Will Reece III collected five groundballs
• Sam Sanko stopped 15 shots in goal, playing 55 minutes of the game
