MEQUON, WI - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team made a furious fourth quarter comeback but fell a single goal short in losing at Concordia Wisconsin on Wednesday afternoon.

• Concordia Wisconsin won the ensuing faceoff and ran down to tie the game, opening a string of three straight goals
• Will Reece III broke up the run with 6:38 left in the first half, converting on a man-up situation
• The hosts led 4-2 at halftime but Benedictine netted the first two goals of the third to even the score
• Thomas Tillett scored and a minute later Gett broke the points record with his second of the game
• Concordia Wisconsin ripped off five straight goals to close the quarter and lead 9-4 heading into the final 15 minutes
• Nick Wood scored three times in the fourth to pull Benedictine within a single goal
• Gett also scored in the fourth quarter as the defense posted a shutout in the fourth for the third consecutive game
• Wood's final tally came with 2:06 to play, bringing Benedictine within 9-8
• An attempt by Leahy to tie missed wide, drawing to a close a seven-game win streak, which matched the school record
• Despite the defeat, Benedictine has held the last eight opponents under 10 goals
• Shots were even in the contest with each team accumulating 31
