• Wisconsin Lutheran opened a 2-0 lead in the opener, scoring twice with two outs in the top of the second
• Frank Greco settled down and Benedictine kept creating chances, finally breaking through in the fourth
• D.J. Dillon reached on a bunt single with one out and moved to second on a throwing error
• Jack Feeley put Benedictine on the board with an RBI single before stealing second and advancing on a throwing error
• Kyle Mitter tied the game by legging out a bunt single with two away, enabling Feeley to cross the plate
• Mitter promptly swiped second and scored the go-ahead run on a single from

• Benedictine put the game out of reach with four runs in the seventh
• Hodo led off with a single and stole second
• Michael Chaffin followed suit with a single and
Sam Kerr doubled home two, making the score 5-2

• Wisconsin Lutheran loaded the bases with no outs in the second and did not score
• Benedictine countered with a run in the bottom of the inning
• Kerr led off with a single and scored the first run on an RBI double from
Noah Davis, his first collegiate hit
• Davis doubled to kick off the fifth and scored on a single from Mitter
• Wisconsin Lutheran loaded the bases three times but failed to score as Benedictine notched a third shutout of the season
• Greco worked six innings in the opener, striking out six to even his record at 2-2
• Ivan Guzman threw the final three innings for his first save
• Miller tossed six blank innings in game two, allowing just five hits while striking out four
• Miller has not allowed a run in the last 15 innings of work
• Alexander Schram tossed 1.2 innings while
Marty Maves closed out the game for his sixth save
• Benedictine posted double-digit hits in each game with 13 in the opener and 10 in the second contest
• Hodo and Feeley tallied three each in the opener with Kerr, Dillon and Mitter notching two
• Hodo, Kerr and Davis each posted a pair of hits in game two
• Benedictine swiped seven bases in the doubleheader, five in the opener and two in game two
"I am excited to grab a couple wins to start the conference season," head coach
Adam Smith said. "It is tough to score runs in cold conditions and we did a good job creating chances today and pitched extremely well."
Benedictine (10-4, 2-0 NACC) is scheduled to travel to Lakeland for another conference twinbill on Tuesday
