MADISON, WI - Erik Stammer had a big day to help keep the Benedictine University men's soccer team unbeaten in the NACC.

• Hayden Van Son posted an early chance for Benedictine in the sixth minute
• Stammer's big day began with a shot on goal in the 11th minute
• Just over a minute later the senior found the back of the net, driving home a feed from
Yair Ortega to hand Benedictine a 1-0 lead
• The lead held at 1-0 with both teams creating chances until a final flurry towards the end of the half
• Stammer set up Ortega with a cross that was eased into the goal in the 32nd minute
• Gio Ovalle saw an attempt denied in the 39th minute, but Stammer was there to clean up, serving one in off the keeper from the right side
• A pair of yellow cards helped enable a penalty kick opportunity in the 52nd minute which Stammer converted for his third goal of the match and eighth of the year
• Edgewood scored in the 59th minute but drew no closer
• Stammer finished with three goals and an assist while logging seven shots, six on goal
• Benedictine held a 22-6 edge in shots
• Shawn Chervets started in net and stopped three attempts
• Zach Albright saw time in the final minutes
