AURORA, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team saw an eight-game win streak end with a road loss to Aurora University in a game of runs on Wednesday night.

• It took nearly four minutes for Benedictine to score as Aurora bolted to a 7-0 lead to begin the high-scoring affair
• Allison Michalski tied the game with a layup at the 4:38 mark of the opening quarter
• Benedictine did not lead in the first, trailing 22-16 after the opening quarter
• Trailing by nine points early in the second at 27-18, Benedictine came all the way back to tie the game on a
Claire Gibler layup with 2:04 left as part of an 11-0 run
• MaKayli Vann drilled a three with 1:20 to go to give Benedictine the lead for the first time at 32-29 and Benedictine held a 32-31 halftime edge
• D'Asia Williams made a three-pointer to open the second half as Benedictine opened a double-digit lead on a three-point play from Michalski with 6:25 to go in the third at 45-35
• The hosts countered with 11 in a row to lead again at 46-35
• Hanna Piro dropped in a triple to put Benedictine back in front, but Aurora countered with 10 straight to lead by eight early in the final quarter
• Williams pulled Benedictine within three points at 65-62 with 3:07 left before another Aurora run stretched the margin to double figures and ended a chance at a comeback
• Two players combined for nearly 70 points to lead Aurora, who made 41 free throws as Benedictine was whistled for 37 fouls
