THE DETAILS
• Benedictine had some early problems against Alverno
• Trailing 11-9 in the first set, Benedictine put together five consecutive points, two of which came on aces from
Taylor Dunwell
• Benedictine did not trail again and ended the set with five straight points
• The second set was even at 6-6 before Dunwell put down a kill for the first of three consecutive points and Benedictine did not trail the rest of the way
• Alverno held a 14-13 lead in the third with the teams consistently trading points before back-to-back errors assisted in a run of seven straight for Benedictine to seize control
• Benedictine hit .341 for the match including .435 in the second set
• The meeting marked the second of the year between the two teams with a non-conference sweep for Benedictine happening in the MSOE Invite on September 7
