• MSOE is one of the top teams in the conference
• MSOE scored in the first minute of the contest following the opening kickoff
• The lead held for less than 10 minutes as
Stephanie Nichols tied the game in the 10th minute and immediately had another attempt for the lead denied
• The early offense for both teams continued as MSOE took the lead in the 16th minute
• Katie Farb put a shot on goal to attempt to tie the contest in the 21st minute but was halted
• The score remained 2-1 until the final 10 minutes of the contest
• MSOE distanced the lead in the 84th minute before Benedictine again pulled within a goal in the 86th minute

• Nichols and
Jennifer Garcia both had attempts to tie the game in the final three minutes saved
• MSOE held a 13-8 edge in shots and an 8-7 edge in shots on goal
