THE DETAILS
• Benedictine led the entire first set, jumping out to an 8-3 lead
• Molly Stock opened a string of seven straight points as Benedictine led 22-10
• The second set opened with six consecutive points from Benedictine, the last two of which came on kills from
Taylor Dunwell
• Benedictine did not trail in the second
• The hosts were able to stay alive in the third, using nine straight points to erase a 16-14 deficit to lead 23-16 before closing out the third
• Marian led for much of the fourth but Dunwell put down the first of four straight to put Benedictine in front 20-19
• A ball handling error opened the door for another run of four straight that helped end the contest
• Benedictine hit .266 for the match with a .353 clip in the first and a .324 mark in the fourth
