LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's soccer team played a solid defensive match in battling one of the top programs in the conference to a scoreless draw on Tuesday night.

THE DETAILS
• Illinois Tech was picked second in the preseason poll
• The first half was fairly even with Illinois Tech holding a 7-4 edge in shots
• In the second 45, Illinois Tech increased the pace, logging 15 shots but failing to put a ball in the net against the Benedictine defense
• Benedictine turned the tempo in the final five minutes but was unable to break through
• Benedictine outshot Illinois Tech 2-1 in the extra sessions but did not score
• For the night, Illinois Tech held a 23-10 advantage in shots
