CHICAGO, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team dropped a conference contest for the first time this season, falling on the road at Illinois Tech.

• Illinois Tech grabbed the lead early, converting a header following a long throw in the 18th minute
• In the 21st minute
George Omondi-Soipan countered but a blast was denied
• Benedictine came out strong to open the second half
• Aldreion Smith hit the post just over two minutes into the half
• Elber Haro was stopped in the 75th minute but Benedictine was able to break through and tie the game in the 76th minute
• Lukasz Sulka sent a cross to the near post that was headed home by Omondi-Soipan
• Sulka tried his own header just over a minute later but could not convert
• Illinois Tech knocked in the winner in the 82nd minute on an in direct free kick following a foul
• Immediately after falling behind, Benedictine pushed hard, firing five shots in the final eight minutes but could not even the score
• Benedictine held an 18-12 edge in shots with eight on goal
• Dominic Wistocki did not start the game but stopped five shots in 60 minutes of action
• Sulka posted six shots with three on goal while
Andrew Leon notched three along with Omondi-Soipan
