• The contest opened with a blistering pace
• Concordia Chicago had an early corner kick opportunity in the fourth minute
• Benedictine countered quickly and opened the scoring less than a minute later just 3:51 into the matchup
• Lukasz Sulka beat his defender on the near side of the field and crossed into the box for
Michael Alemu who instantly directed the pass into the net
• Concordia Chicago countered instantly, using a scramble in front of the net to post the equalizer in the seventh minute on a rebound
• Gerardo Medina put Concordia Chicago ahead for the first time in the 12th minute, capitalizing on a turnover at midfield, using a through ball that deflected off
Martin Jimenez-Estrada, who came out to challenge the angle
• The tempo slowed down and Concordia Chicago continued to lead late into the second half
• Benedictine made a late push and was able to even the game in the 81st minute
• George Omondi-Soipan was denied, but a rebound of his attempt ended up at the feet of
Andrew Leon, who blasted in the equalizer
• Just moments later a yellow card just outside the box set up a free kick for Benedictine that Sulka drove home for the game-winner
• Jimenez-Estrada made a huge save in the final minute to preserve the win
• Benedictine held a 20-11 advantage in shots with 12 on goal
• Sulka recorded nine shots with five on target
• Jimenez-Estrada tallied six saves in net
