MILWAUKEE, WI - The Benedictine University women's basketball team finally got to play at Wisconsin Lutheran, dropping a conference contest.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine made consistent runs, but Wisconsin Lutheran was able to counter every challenge
• A back-and-forth start to the contest saw Benedictine take an 8-7 lead on a three from Claire Gibler with 3:31 to go in the opening quarter
• Wisconsin Lutheran countered with a 9-0 run to take the lead for good, holding a 16-11 edge after one
• MaKayli Vann hit a three with under two minutes left in the half to pull Benedictine within 24-19
• Gibler banked home a three at the buzzer as Benedictine pulled within 28-22 at halftime
• The hosts led by 13 in the third quarter and again halfway through the third
• A three-pointer from Allison Michalski pulled Benedictine within 48-42 with 2:34 left and a layup from Alex Fanning with 1:43 left made the score 50-44 but Wisconsin Lutheran scored nine straight, all on free throws, to seal the win
• Wisconsin Lutheran has won 18 consecutive games at home but lost the first meeting of the year at Benedictine, the only loss of the year
• The game was scheduled to be played on Wednesday but was postponed due to the record setting cold temperatures through the Midwest

• Benedictine made eight field goals in each half and shot 32 percent for the game
• Wisconsin Lutheran held a 35-30 advantage on the glass
