Volleyball Picks Up 20th Win

The Benedictine University men's volleyball team picked up their 20th win of the season after sweeping both Illinois Tech and MIT in Chicago on Saturday afternoon.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine tallied 39 kills in the match while hitting .341
• The Eagles defense was strong, adding 37 digs, five blocks with eight aces
• Frank Hesik tallied the first five points of the game to take the lead and never look back
• Set two saw four ties and two lead changes as IIT tied the game at 24
• Kills from Hesik and Elijah Medlock secured the win
• Hesik's serve once again put BenU on top early on, starting set four with back-to-back aces
• The Eagles connected for 12 kills and a .417 attack percentage for the win

• The BenU defense held MIT to just nine kills (.000) in the final set, winning 25-18
