AURORA, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team opened the season against a team receiving national recognition at Aurora.

• Hope, who is receiving national attention and plays in one of the top conferences in the region, opened the scoring in the eighth minute and grabbed a 2-0 advantage just over 12 minutes later
• Benedictine managed just two shots in the first half but took advantage of an opportunity in the 29th minute to cut the deficit in half
