WHEATON, IL - For the fifth time in the last six victories, the Benedictine University women's volleyball team recorded a sweep, this time taking down North Central at the Wheaton College Marilyn Scribner Invite.

THE DETAILS
• North Central led for a lot of the early portion of the opening set
• Benedictine pulled within 10-9 following three straight points, two on kills from
Taylor Dunwell and the last on an ace from
Alyssa Mojica
• Dunwell banged down two kills and
Hannah Griffith added another as Benedictine took the lead for the first time at 18-16
• Benedictine had a set point, but North Central tallied consecutive points to record their own set point before Benedictine notched the final three
• The second set saw North Central score the first four points and lead all the way until
Yngride JeanPhillipe opened four in a row
• Tied at 20, Benedictine notched two in a row and closed out the set with a
Brooke Huizenga kill and an ace from Griffith
• Benedictine opened a 10-3 lead to start third third and did not look back, leading by as many as nine to complete the sweep
• Benedictine hit .315 for the match including .368 in the third set
• Benedictine finished 2-1 at the event
