MILWAUKEE, WI - The Benedictine University men's soccer team exploded for five goals in a win to open the conference season.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine wasted no time in taking the early lead, scoring just over a minute into the match when 
Hayden Van Son and 
Andrew Leon set up 
Lukasz Sulka for his fourth goal of the year
• Both teams continued the up tempo action with Wisconsin Lutheran tying the contest in the 14th minute
• Martin Jimenez-Estrada recorded back-to-back saves less than a minute in front of Benedictine scoring the go-ahead tally
• Leon picked up a loose ball in the 30th minute and struck from 20 yards out on a pass from 
Alex Pillath
• Wisconsin Luthern posted four straight corner kicks before once again evening the contest in the 35th minute
• Early in the second half 
Tomasz Kulak unloaded a free kick that Sulka directed into the left corner for his second goal in the 48th minute
• The hosts tied the game again just over three minutes later
• George Omondi-Soipan delivered the game-winning goal at the 67 minute mark
• Connor Hryhorysak provided an insurance goal on a corner kick from Kulak in the 74th minute
• Benedictine peppered the goal with 12 shots on target among 20 total attempts
• Sulka and Omondi-Soipan both notched five shots with four on goal while Leon totaled four shots
• Jimenez-Estrada made six saves in net
