LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team rebounded from a tough loss in Texas to claim an 18th straight win at home, easing past visiting Marian University.

THE DETAILS
• With the game even at 2-2 in the first quarter, Benedictine rattled off seven in a row to open a 9-2 lead and did not trail in the contest
• Three-pointers from Brianna Lake and Celia Arreola capped a 13-0 run as Benedictine opened a 24-6 first quarter advantage
• Marian made just one first quarter field goal
• Allison Michalski made a jumper to open the second quarter as Benedictine held a 27-7 lead
• Arreola scored seven straight late in the half as Benedictine led 45-16 at the break
• The starters were not needed much in the second half as Benedictine kicked off the third quarter with a 9-0 run to ease ahead 54-16 on a layup from Alex Fanning
• Benedictine led by as many as 46 in the third and 52 in the game

• Benedictine connected on 10 three-pointers in the game and shot 41 percent from the field while limiting Marian to just 10 total field goals and 17.9 percent
• Fanning came out strong in the third quarter and led all scorers with 15 points, adding 10 rebounds, five assists and a pair of blocks and a steal
• Michalski notched 12 as five players reached double figures
• Claire Gibler added 11 along with Arreola while Lake tallied 10
• The bench scored 42 points while Benedictine netted 36 points in the paint and 29 off turnovers
