THE DETAILS
• While the game was the first of the season for Benedictine, Carthage was playing for a third time
• Carthage scored the first six goals of the game
• Emma Redfern scored the first goal of the season at the 17:10 mark of the first half
• Redfern scored again less than two minutes later
• After a goal from Kaylee Garcia brought Benedictine within 8-3 with 13:18 left in the half, Carthage tallied seven of the next eight goals and led 14-4 at halftime
