THE DETAILS
• After trailing for most of the opening set,
Elijah Medlock opened a string of five consecutive points with a kill as Benedictine led 17-14
• The team also held leads of 20-17 and 21-18 before Marian came storming back
• Medlock put Benedictine on the brink of a win, but Marian stood firm notching a set point of their own before
John Davis posted the first of three straight points to close out the opening set
• Benedictine jumped in front 4-1 in the second and did not trail, closing out the set on an ace from
Joe Lock
• Marcus Gonzalez logged an ace followed by kills from

Chase Olson allowed Benedictine to lead 8-4
• After playing from behind, Marian came back to even the score at 17-17 before another string of three in a row which included a kill from
