Balanced Effort Powers Men's Hoops to Eighth Straight

ROCKFORD, IL - All five starters scored in doubles figures and Benedictine shot over 50 percent for a third consecutive contest, shooting past Rockford on the road to win an eighth in a row.

THE DETAILS
•
Eric Grygo scored a layup on the game's opening possession and Benedictine did not trail in the contest, shooting a season high 57 percent
• Three different players scored as part of a 7-0 run that saw Benedictine open a 13-4 lead less than five minutes into the game
• The lead grew to double figures at 19-9 on a three-pointer from Nick Kosich with 13:33 remaining in the first half
• Rockford came back to within five points but another 7-0 run late allowed Benedictine to lead 37-23 on a three-pointer from Keegan Graebner
• Benedictine led 45-37 at the half and utilized a 9-0 run to open a 57-42 lead with 16:16 left
• The hosts were never again closer than 11 points and Benedictine led 91-71 on a Kosich layup with 4:28 to play

Benedictine held a 41-31 edge on the glass, scored 54 points in the paint and logged 23 points off turnovers
• Grygo led all scorers with 21 points, tallying his ninth 20+ performance of the year, and added eight rebounds
• Kosich scored 18 in his sixth straight game with double-figure points while Kenny Bogus finished with 17
• Kyle Graebner netted 14 and Keegan Graebner logged 10
