CLERMONT, FL - Events out of everyone's control limited the Benedictine University softball team to just three games in the annual spring trip to Florida on Friday and Saturday

THE DETAILS
• Stevens Point scored five runs in the first inning and built a 6-0 lead on Friday
• Benedictine scored their only two runs in the third inning
• Kaitlyn Velazquez drew a walk to start the inning and
Taylor Skraba moved her to third with a single
• Alyssa Gill doubled home one run and
Emily Moore added a sacrifice fly to account for the other
• On Saturday, Benedictine rallied from down 4-0 as Wentworth scored a run in the first and three in the second
• Ashley Fisher doubled to begin the bottom of the second and scored along with Velazquez on a double from

• Benedictine tied the game with two runs in the third on a two-run double from
Abbey Plutz
• Benedictine continued the rally in the fourth with three runs to open a 7-4 edge

Faith Chada with a sacrifice fly while Moore brought home Skraba with a single and Fisher doubled home Moore
• Three more runs scored in the fifth as Benedictine finished a stretch of 10 unanswered runs to lead 10-4
• Velazquez scored on a throwing error while stealing third

Megan Fast with a sacrifice fly and Gill singled home Skraba later in the frame
• Benedictine fell behind 1-0 to Bethel in the final game
• Moore tied the game with a fielder's choice in the third, scoring Chada
• Three runs scored in the fifth to put Benedictine ahead
• Fisher singled home one run and Fast logged a two-run single
• The final run came in the seventh on an RBI double from Fast to plate Moore
STAT LEADERS
• Skraba notched a pair of hits against UW-Stevens Point
• Moore, Fisher and Velazquez all notched two hits in the Wentworth contest
• Nicole Parney threw the entire game in the circle against Wentworth
• Fast finished with three hits and three RBIs in the win over Bethel while Moore notched a pair of hits
• Alexandra Loizon went the distance in the circle, striking out six
THE SEASON
Benedictine finished the abbreviated year 2-1. Most schools and conferences have canceled the remainder of the season, ending Benedictine's spring break trip a week early. The team was allowed to continue to compete while on break. The NACC has canceled the remainder of the year.
