LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's soccer team won a fourth consecutive contest by taking down Rockford at home on Wednesday night.

THE DETAILS
• Using speed early, Benedictine created plenty of chances before
Stephanie Hernandez knocked home the first goal in the 13th minute
• Benedictine utilized a corner kick to open a 2-0 lead when
Eve Meintz put a strike into the box for
Lyric Jones, who finally struck after several early opportunities
• The goal marked the first of her collegiate career
• Benedictine controlled possession for much of the contest but Rockford was able to generate a pair of shots late in the first
• It did not take long for Benedictine to score in the second half as Meintz put a ball through for
Victoria Alvarado to finish in the 58th minute
• Anna Dudziak collected a rebound of a shot from
Eugenia Amado to make the score 4-0 in the 65th minute
• The final goal came in the 71st minute when Jones connected with Hernandez for her second tally of the contest
STAT LEADERS
• Benedictine held a 19-6 advantage in shots with 12 on goal
• Katherine Prochnow faced just one shot on goal and tallied the save
• Hernandez posted seven shots while Jones tacked on five
• Jones, Hernandez and Meintz all tallied two points in the match
