AURORA, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team wrapped up the regular season with a road win over Aurora.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine set the tone very early with
Omar Barragan putting a shot on goal in the second minute
• Hayden Van Son fired a shot in the seventh minute that helped set up a corner kick opportunity
• Barragan set up Van Son for the first goal of the contest at the 7:31 mark
• David Szaflarski,
Mike Bassier and
Tomasz Kulak immediately created chances following the goal as Benedictine continued to threaten
• Just over three minutes into the second half Szaflarski found Bassier for the second goal
• Aurora pulled within a single goal in the 70th minute following a corner kick but could get no closer as Benedictine wrapped up the three seed in the conference tournament

Benedictine (12-3-2, 9-2-1 NACC) will host the opening round of the conference tournament on Saturday night as the three seed in a 7:00 pm affair. welcoming Concordia Chicago. The teams played to a 2-2 draw at Concordia Chicago in September.
