LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's soccer team came from behind in the final minute of regulation and won in overtime to advance in the NACC Tournament.

• Mike Bassier created an early chance for Benedictine putting a shot on goal in the third minute
• After several chances
Michal Szaflarski put Benedictine on the board in the 38th minute on a pass from
Fernando Alvarez
• Concordia Chicago tied the game in the 62nd minute on a penalty kick
• Less than a minute later Benedictine had a penalty kick but Szaflarski was denied
• Another penalty kick enabled Concordia Chicago to take a 2-1 lead with 10 minutes remaining
• Benedictine cranked up the pressure to try and tie the game
• Alex Pillath had a shot blocked and Szaflarski missed wide

Habtamu Kruiswyk crossed a ball into the box that was headed by
Alex Pillath to the foot of
Yusuf Sahin, who came up from the back line to blast home the tying goal
• Benedictine wasted no time in the extra session, streaking up the field to score the winner
• Alvarez served a ball into the box for a sprinting
Hayden Van Son to guide into the net for the winner and his 14th goal of the year
