THE DETAILS
• Benedictine scored the first four points of the opening set and did not trail as
Madelyn Sullivan recorded an ace and
Caroline O'Connor a kill along with a pair of errors
• Rockford hung around in the second and used four straight points to open a 14-13 advantage
• A serving error allowed Benedictine to tie the score and the team added three more to open a 17-14 edge
• Four straight points later allowed Benedictine to gain separation and hold off the challenge
• A kill from
Hannah Griffith, block from Griffith and Kaitltyn Estopare along with a pair of
Alyssa Mojica aces enabled Benedictine to lead 6-2 in the third but Rockford did not go away
• The visitors held a 14-12 lead before five straight from Benedictine that again opened with a combined block from Griffith and Estopare
• Rockford came back to tie the score at 17-17 and again at 20-20 before
Yngride JeanPhillipe put down a kill to open five straight to close out the match
• Benedictine hit .270 for the match
