MILWAUKEE, WI - The Benedictine University men's basketball team built a big first half lead and held off MSOE to win on the road.

THE DETAILS
- Benedictine used a 14-2 run late in the first half to open a double-digit lead
- Leading 22-18,
Nick Kosich opened the stretch with a pair of free throws
- Kosich hit a three and Ellingson sandwiched a two and a three around an MSOE bucket as the lead reached 34-20 in the final two minutes of the first half
- Trevor Montiel closed out the half with a jumper just before the buzzer as Benedictine led 36-20 at the break
- Benedictine shot 55.6 percent in the first half
- The hosts scored eight straight to pull within 40-34 just over five minutes into the second
- MSOE was able to take the lead with 8:25 left in the game at 47-46
- Kosich split a pair of free throws to start a 7-0 counter for Benedictine that included a dunk from

- Michael Johnson pushed the lead to nine points at 59-50 with 2:55 remaining and MSOE could only draw within five three times before a three at the buzzer
STAT LEADERS
- Benedictine shot just 27.6 percent in the second half, finishing at 41.1 percent for the game
- Benedictine scored 30 points in the paint and held a 33-30 advantage on the glass
- Three players reached double figures led by 17 from Agwomoh, who added five boards
- Kosich notched 15 to go with four assists while Montiel tallied 14 along with six rebounds and five assists
