• Jacob Grygo opened a run of five consecutive points with a kill early in the first to tie the score and an attack error put Benedictine ahead for the remainder of the set
• Nathan Klimisch broke a 12-12 tie with a kill as Benedictine rattled off four straight to lead 16-12
• A kill from Tim Folliard and an ace from Mike LeGros opened the second set as Benedictine opened an early 8-2 lead
• Illinois Tech came back to even the score with a run of six in a row
• Martin Radomski opened a run of four consecutive kills to help Benedictine pull away in the second
• The visitors led for a majority of the start of the third, holding a 13-9 lead
• LeGros opened a stretch with Benedictine scoring eight of the next nine points, grabbing the lead on three consecutive errors
• Folliard posted the final point with a kill to give head coach Christian Staple his first career victory
• Benedictine hit .289 for the match including .382 in the second when 18 of the 25 points came on kills
