ROCKFORD, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team used a big first half to cruise to a road win over Rockford.

THE DETAILS
• Elisa Diorio scored the first points of the game and Benedictine did not trail in the contest
• Benedictine scored the final five points of the opening quarter to go ahead by double figures at 19-8
• The run continued to 11-0 with the first six points of the second quarter as Benedictine opened a 25-8 advantage
• Benedictine outscored Rockford 21-4 in the second, ending the half on consecutive threes from Reggie Much to lead 40-12 at the break
• The second half opened with nine straight from Benedictine to extend the run to 15-0 and make the score 49-12 following seven straight points from Allison Michalski
• Rockford made a little late noise in the fourth to get the deficit under 30, but Benedictine was able to claim a third straight victory to open the year

• Benedictine shot 45 percent in the game including 61.5 percent in the second quarter
• 18 players saw time in the contest
• Morgan Currie logged a career game with 16 points and 12 rebounds
• Michalski was the only other player to reach double figures with 13
