NAPERVILLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team opened a new chapter with the first ever meeting against North Central College in the battle for the Chicago/Maple Ave Cup.

THE DETAILS
• North Central jumped in front with two goals in the opening five minutes and did not trail in the contest
• Joe Spahn directed a feed from
Colin Domek into the net with the first Benedictine tally at the 9:04 mark
• North Central scored the next three goals to open a 5-1 lead
• Early goals in the second quarter from
Brogan Hall and Domek brought Benedictine within 6-4, but North Central took an 8-5 lead into the half
• After the teams traded goals to open the second half, North Central rattled off four in a row to lead 13-6 and didn't look back
STAT LEADERS
• Both teams logged 31 shots with Benedictine picking up 28 groundballs while winning 16 faceoffs
• Nic Perkins, Hall and Domek all scored twice with Domek adding two assists
