LISLE, IL - The sixth-ranked Benedictine University men's volleyball team fell for the first time this season, dropping a five-set decision to #13 North Central.

THE DETAILS
• Benedictine took control of the opening set early , opening a 7-2 advantage with an ace from
Martin Radomski
• North Central pulled within a point at 16-15 before Benedictine powered off the final nine points of the set
• The visitors led for the entire second, Benedictine used a late run to pull within 23-21 on a kill from
Jacob Grygo but North Central notched the final two points
• Consecutive kills from Grygo opened the third set and Benedictine led all the way until a run of five straight put North Central up 12-8
• Benedictine twice pulled within two points in the set but couldn't overcome the hurdle
• Chase Olson logged two kills during a five-point stretch early in the fourth
• Most of the set was close but a kill from
Nathan Klimisch helped close out to force a fifth set
• Benedictine struck first in the decisive set but North Central opened an 8-3 lead and held off a late charge to hand Benedictine their first defeat
• Benedictine hit .208 for the match but was -.235 in the fifth
