RIVER FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University women's volleyball team opened the spring 2021 season by dropping a pair of contests in a doubleheader at Dominican.

• Benedictine led 15-12 before Dominican tallied six consecutive points to take the lead

Alyssa Mojica put Benedictine ahead 22-21, but after a timeout Dominican netted two in a row to take the lead
• Molly Stock tied the set briefly with a kill but Dominican scored the final two to grab the win
• Dominican scored the first three points of the second and led for nearly the entire frame but Benedictine scored six straight late to make it close
• The hosts made it a sweep by pulling away late in the third, using four straight o take a 20-11 edge
• Benedictine hit .346 in the second and finished the match at .157

• JeanPhillipe opened the scoring in the first set with a kill, but five consecutive points from Dominican opened a 12-5 lead
• Benedictine opened the scoring in the second as well, but Dominican seized control
• Benedictine pulled within one twice but the hosts scored seven-of-eight to pull away
• Dominican netted the first three points of the third but Benedictine stormed back to lead
• After an error put Benedictine ahead 20-19, Dominican scored five in a row to set up match points
