SALEM, VA - The seventh-ranked Benedictine University men's volleyball team won an epic five-set battle with sixth-ranked Southern Virginia to win a third game in three days and reach the NCAA Division III Championship match.

- Benedictine came out strong, after falling behind 3-0 in the opening set Benedictine ripped off eight consecutive points
- Martin Radomski logged three kills in the stretch and Jacob Grygo added an ace
- Leading 20-13, two errors set up a kill from Tim Folliard and two more errors closed out the first
- Benedictine picked up where they left off to begin the second, opening a 12-8 advantage
- Southern Virginia rattled off the next five points to open a 13-12 advantage
- The spurt was the start of a stretch that saw 12-of-15 points go to Southern Virginia, who brought a boisterous crowd for the short trip
- Southern Virginia led 22-16 and closed out the set on a second chance following a kill from Grygo
